航空会社が別の航空会社のスペースを購入し、その追加スペースを自社便として販売する契約

Agreement whereby an airline buys space on another airline and markets the extra space as its own. Often used to increase a route network without the costs of running a full service.

Examples :

"To fly to that small town, I booked a flight on United, but it was actually a codeshare with a regional airline called SkyWest. "

あの小さな町へ行くために、ユナイテッドの便を予約しましたが、実際にはスカイウエストという地方航空会社とのコードシェア便でした。
